HAND AND CROSS ROUGHOUT

The Hand and Cross is an intermediate level carving project using various carving tools. The parts of the roughout used for mounting it in the duplicator, have been sawn away and a saw cut made between the lower part of the hand and the cross. This saw cut makes the roughout easier to carve. A finished walnut base measuring 4 1/4 inch x 2 3/4 inch x 3/4 inch is included with this project along with a colored 8 1/2 x 11 inch go-by sheet. The finished carving is approximately 5 1/4 inches tall not including the base. The finished carving shown on the left is an example and is not included with the roughout.
