Gerarld and Barb live in southwest MO. They have a wide selection of caricature carvings, including cowboys, sea captains, mountain men and santas. They also sell roughouts for all of the carvings. Gerald carves and Barb paints the carvings. A member of CCA, Gerald teaches at many seminars.

This is the woodcarving club of Mountain Home, Arkansas. The club is active, has about 150 members, and offers both beginners and advanced carving classes. The club meets each Thursday from 8:30 till noon at The VFW in Mountain Home. Next year the club will have it's 27th Annual Show & Sale, Saturday & Sunday, May 6 & 7th. The show brings people from all over the country.

The Texas Woodcarvers Guild has over 600 members. The membership includes carvers from New England to California. The Guild has two woodcarving seminars each year in Fredericksburg, Texas; one in April and the other in September. The fall seminar is also a show and sale. Husband and wife team, Phil and Vicki Bishop are full-time woodcarvers from Elk City, Oklahoma. They have traveled the woodcarving circuit exhibiting at shows and teaching caricature woodcarving seminars throughout the United States. They also sell carvings and roughouts.

Russ Hewitt started developing the Gouge Chip Carving technique in 1997. Gouge Chipping is quick and easy to learn. The cuts are simple - a vertical cut and the removal of a chip from the convex side of the vertical cut. The only tools used are gouges. There are five design forms - flowers, vines, diamonds, hexagons, snowflakes and pinwheels. Actual designs combine one or more of the forms.
